Jackass of The Week 11/27/06

There was a time when the "Vick Flip" meant Atlanta Falcons quarterback
Mike Vick could flip his wrist and throw the ball 40 yards down field.
However, we have now all been introduced to the new meaning of the "Vick
Flip". The Atlanta Falcons lost their 4th straight game yesterday at home to
division rival New Orleans by a lopsided 31-13 margin. That dropped the
Falcons record to 5-6 and barely alive for the playoff chase. Falcons fans,
growing weary of the losing, after starting 5-1 on the season, let their team
know of their frustration. They booed and let their emotions be heard. Upon
hearing the boos rain down upon him and his teammates, Mike Vick let his
frustration be known as well, by flipping the middle finger on both of his
hands at the fans and cussing at them! Mike, you CAN'T do that. You just
can't. It doesn't matter if you're frustrated and don't agree with the fans.
You're a pro athlete, this happens every day in every stadium....deal with it!
Not only were Mike Vick's actions stupid to do, but they were directed
towards his HOME fans! Why would you EVER do something like that to the
people who will support you and cheer for you the most. You're setting
yourself up for a frosty relationship with the entire city by doing something
like that! These fans paid upwards of $75 or even more to watch you and the
Falcons give them something to cheer about. You lost by 18 points and for
the fourth time in a row. They have every right to let their emotions be heard.
Mike Vick, you can not be so stupid as to let fans get to you and pull a move
like that. You'll get hammered for it by the media every single time. Mike, you
are the most important player on a team who lost 4 straight and got
embarrassed at home. Your fans booed and instead of just acknowledging
the fact that they have the right to be frustrated and agreeing with them, you
introduce the new "Vick Flip" and get caught on TV to boot! Mike Vick, for
your actions, you are the BSN JACKASS OF THE WEEK!
