BSN'S JACKASS OF THE WEEK!
This week's winner has been a jackass before for his use of
words. Last time, he was a straight out liar. This time, he has used
an analogy that doesn't really belong. I'm talking about Alabama
Crimson Tide head football coach Nick Saban.
Saban's team lost to the University of Louisiana Monroe, a game
they should never, ever lose, especially at home.  When asked
about it, Saban began calling it a "catastrophe". That's fair
enough, it was pretty catastrophic, in a relative sense.  However,
he began breaking out the analogies from there.
"Changes in
history usually occur after some kind of catastrophic event. It may
be 9-11, which sort of changed the spirit of America relative to
catastrophic events. Pearl Harbor kind of got us ready for World
War II, and that was a catastrophic event."
Saban, for some
reason thinks that preparing his team, after their "catastrophic"
loss is in some way relateable to two of the largest attacks on
United States soil. Somehow, a football game, in the grand
scheme of things, meaningless, is being compared to two of the
biggest historical events in the history of the world.  Those
events were truly catastrophic and devastating. A loss to a an
opponent who you should beat, while maybe "catastrophic" on a
football level, should never, EVER be compared to such things as
Pearl Harbor or 9/11/01!  C'mon Saban, think before you speak!
Saban has earned it, he's the BSN JACKASS OF THE WEEK!
