BSN'S JACKASS OF THE WEEK!
|
It was a pretty slow week for jackasses in the sporting world this past
week, but I was able to find a pair of teammates who earned the honor.
They actually earned the honor in two unrelated incidents, but get to
share the award because they share a team in the NBA. They are
Denver Nuggets Guard J.R. Smith and Forward DerMarr Johnson.
We'll start with Smith. Last weekend, while in his home state of New
Jersey, Smith was driving his SUV at 5:30am when he decided to run a
stop sign, collide with another car, flip over and eventually kill one of
his passengers and leave himself in the hospital. Hey Smith, you may
be able to avoid collisions on the court, but in the real world, you're no
different than anyone else, a stop sign is there for a reason you
ignorant jackass. You're the one who deserves to die, not the innocent
passenger in your car who had no control of whether or not you
decided to use the pedal on the left or the one on the right. You chose
the one on the right and now he's dead. Idiot.
Smith's teammate, in a less severe incident had some legal trouble as
well. While at a night club, DerMarr Johnson, yes, 'DerMarr', what the
hell kind of name is that? Anyway, Johnson got in an altercation with
police after he refused to cooperate during a scuffle outside of a
Denver club. He was eventually tased for his lack of discipline.
According to his lawyer though, Johnson "was breaking up a fight
between two women." Riiiiiiiiight. I'm sure that's what was happening.
The lawyer continued with "There was a great deal of confusion and the
police mistakenly believe he was interfering with them," "However, we
are confident when all the facts come out it will be clear that DerMarr is
innocent and did nothing wrong." I love this classic line. We are
seeing more and more of it these days: "When all the facts come out".
Why is it that "all the facts" never seem to come out in these people's
favor? Oh, I know why, because they are ALWAYS WRONG! For their
two idiotic brushes with the legal system, Denver Nuggets teammates
J.R. Smith and DerMarr Johnson earned the BSN JACKASS OF THE
WEEK!
