BSN'S JACKASS OF THE WEEK!
|
This week's winner comes from the world of Major
League baseball. We all know they are run by a bunch
of clowns, well, they proved it once again during the
Red Sox vs. Yankees game last week. Therefore, our
winner is in fact, Major League Baseball!
If you haven't heard, during the game between the two
AL East heavy weights, the MLB "fashion police"
showed up. They commissioners office saw Terry
Francona (Red Sox Manager) wearing a pull over in
his team's dugout and didn't think he was wearing his
jersey underneath. They decided to let him know that
was against the MLB uniform code. Ok, so there is a
code and he was breaking it by not wearing his jersey,
which by the way is idiotic. Why should managers have
to wear jerseys these days anyway? They don't play in
the games! What's the point?! Anyway, I digress. So
he broke the code, let him know about, but let him
know, AFTER the game. You know what they did right?
Yup, they approached him in the MIDDLE of game play!
Derek Jeter was on second base and Bobby Abreu
was at the plate when the MLB official approached
Francona and pulled him into the dugout tunnel to let
him know of his "illegal" apparel. How ridiculous is
this? You actually approach a manager in the middle
of a critical game during a pennant race?! MLB ought
to be ashamed of themselves and certainly
embarrassed. Stuff like this should never happen.
This further exemplifies the debauchery that is the
commissioners office. For these moronic moves, MLB
easily earned the BSN JACKASS OF THE WEEK!
