Jackass of The Week-Mike Vick

This week's winner is a two time recipient of the award. He
joins only the infamous Terrell Owens in sharing that honor.
This week's winner is none other than Falcon's Quarterback
Michael Vick. Sure, this week was obvious, but it still had to be
done.
As you all know by now, Vick was stopped at the Miami Airport
last week on his way home to Atlanta. The security guards asked
him to throw away a water bottle as it wasn't permitted on his
AirTran flight. Yep, Vick was flying AirTran! We'll leave that topic
for another day. Anyway, when asked to rid himself of the
bottle, Vick refused at first before reluctantly turning it in. First
of all Mike, ANY time you refuse to cooperate with the
Transportation authorities, you're going to find yourself in some
hot water. You just need to comply with the rules!
After the authorities had possession of the bottle, they
discovered a "secret" compartment in the bottle. According to
the police report the compartment was discovered to have
"small amount of dark particulate and a pungent aroma closely
associated with marijuana." Real smart Vick, real smart. First of
all, why would you EVER be bringing anything like that through
the airport? Do you think just because of who you are, you can
do whatever you want? Obviously that theory is out the
window. But more importantly, as a public figure and the face of
the Atlanta Falcons, you can't be so careless. You already had
to settle a lawsuit last year with a woman claiming you knowingly
gave her herpes. You already received a lot of attention and
trouble from the league when you flipped off your own fans in
November (see Jackass of The Week Nov 27, 2006). Now, you're
trying to sneak a bottle that may or may not contain marijuana
residue onto a plane?! Use your head man!
In recent hours it has come to light that Vick's bottle may not
have contain marijuana, however, that does not exonerate him
from being a jackass. For not giving up the bottle right away,
for drawing attention to himself in a negative light at an airport,
for their being a POSSIBILITY of marijuana in his possession
and for flying AirTran, Mike Vick is the BSN JACKASS OF THE
WEEK!
