BSN'S JACKASS OF THE WEEK!
|
The NFL is back in the Jackass of the Week column, this time not
on the same level, however, I think it's still warranted....it was also
a slower week for Jackasses. This week's winner is the
commissioner of the NFL, Roger Goodell. The reason is simple,
Goodell is considering playing the Super Bowl in London some day.
I think this idea is ludicrous. I understand that he's trying to
expand the league into foreign markets, but that's what the pre
season is for. In fact, this year, the Giants and Dolphins are playing
a regular season game over in London, which I think is bad
enough. That circles me back to the Super Bowl. Why would
Goodell place America's most celebrated sporting event in a
foreign country? $$$$$$ That's the only reason. Sure, business is
driven by the almighty dollar, but at what cost? How does this help
those folks that helped build the sport to what it is today? The fans
of the teams that make the Super Bowl already pay thousands upon
thousands of dollars to go to the game here in the USA, and that's if
they are lucky! It would be virtually impossible for fans to go to the
game. It's not right. Also, what time would the game be played?
There's a time difference, obviously. It screws up TV coverage, but
more importantly, it screws up the players time clocks when they
travel over seas and have to play. The quality of the game will
diminish. That's not what you're looking for in a game that
determines your league champion for the year! The whole idea
stinks. Roger Goodell better think about what he's doing because
if he makes this happen, he'll be Jackass for life, right now, he's
just the BSN JACKASS OF THE WEEK!
