BSN'S JACKASS OF THE WEEK!

This week's winner is not an individual, but rather a
corporation. They have really become very full of themselves
and big headed, and they have gone too far over the past
couple of years. I'm talking about the four letter word: ESPN.
I can not take it anymore! Over the past 5 to 7 years, I've
watched ESPN turn from a great sports hight light and
broadcast channel into another MTV. This week topped it off
for me. First of all, when the MLB allowed TBS to be the first
to announce the All Star teams, ESPN disregarded
regulations and announced it at the same time so as not to
fall behind TBS. That's absurd! You don't have to be the first
at everything ESPN! And please STOP being the first at
coming up with these atrocious mini series. You are a
SPORTS station, not a network station like NBC. If you don't
know what I'm talking about, ESPN, already makers of several
series and movies just threw another piece of crap out there
last night. An 8 part mini series called "The Bronx Is Burning".
WHO CARES?! I'm not watching ESPN to watch shows or
movies, I want some sports high lights dammit! I will not
watch one minute of this drivel you throw out there. Finally,
they have come up with this new "game" they air during
Sportscenter, their high light show. It's called "Who's Now?".
They have picked 32 athletes and put them in brackets
against each other to see who is the most "now". They even
picked a panel of 3 guys to analyze the match ups as if they
were talking about real sporting events. They are also asking
YOU the American public to log on to their web site and vote.
It's all money and marketing driven. DON NOT PARTICIPATE.
They will just use the votes to research who's more
marketable and then generate revenue based on that. Don't
help them. They are not doing what they initially set out to do
when they formed the station. They are supposed to air
sporting events and sports clips, none of this other crap
should be on their airwaves. Take off the stupid fictional
games, movies, mini series and POKER and show us some
sports! ESPN, you have been for a while, and will continue to
be the BSN JACKASS OF THE WEEK!
