BSN'S JACKASS OF THE WEEK!
This week's winner was easy. I knew as soon as he
started mouthing off last week that he was going to be
the winner this week.  I'm referring to Pittsburgh
Steelers free safety Anthony Smith.
Last week, with the Steelers next game looming against
the undefeated juggernaut New England Patriots, Smith
was quoted as saying:
"People keep asking me if we're
ready for the Patriots, They should be asking if they're
ready for us."
What are you talking about?  The Pats
haven't lost yet and they beat people with ease.  The
Steelers were 2-3 on the road going into the game and
had losses to Denver, Arizona and the lowly New York
Jets. That's not exactly a resume that states the Patriots
should be afraid of you! He went on to say:
"We're going
to win, Yeah, I can guarantee a win. As long as we come
out and do what we got to do. Both sides of the ball are
rolling, and if our special teams come through for us,
we've got a good chance to win."
First of all, all these
guarantees that people have been throwing out now a
days are pathetic. There is only one guarantee in sports
history that means anything an that's Joe Namath's, after
that, let's let it go.  Secondly, why would you give the
best team in the league any kind of motivation? They
don't need any extra incentive to beat you!  Not to
mention, Smith started his second season as a second
stringer and is only starting because Ryan Clark is out
for the year!  You are nobody Smith. Let your play on the
field make a name for you, not your big mouth.  Though,
after being burned on THREE separate occasions
yesterday, combined with all the mouthing off earlier in
the week, Smith did make a name for himself; BSN
